A Christmas Movie and Song SuggestionA very Merry Christmas to you and your family! With a great many folks watching movies and listening to music this holiday season, I thought I'd throw out a couple of suggestions. First, in terms of really enjoyable movies with Christmas themes, I've got to recommend Love Actually. Set in London during Christmas time, the movie follows eight different couples and their interconnected lives. Sure, it's a romantic comedy. Yes, it can be a bit sappy at times. But it also has some memorable moments that you can't help but cheer. Second, in terms of music, one of my favorite new Christmas songs I've heard recently is A New York Christmas by Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty fame. It's a Christmas song doubling as a rock song and I can't get the chorus out of my head. It reminds me of some my book tours in New York during the holiday season. There's nothing quite like New York in December. By Ben Kaplan at Dec 25 2006 - 4:42pm | Pop Culture | read more | Ben Kaplan's blog | login or register to post comments
